The primary role of the job holder is to safely transfer passengers from each station and be responsible for the safety of the Cable Car and its passengers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
MUST remain near your station at all times.
MUST enforce rules of no smoking, food, or beverage in the cabin or on the platform
NEVER leave the cabin or designated area unattended while passengers are in or boarding the cabin
ALWAYS maintain constant knowledge of the functions of all controls/equipment in the cabin/control room and be able to operate in a manner consistent with passenger safety
ALWAYS keep the control room clean and tidy
Ensure cabin capacity does not exceed 30 pax max
Ensure the highest standards of customer care and safety
Ensure boarding or departure gates are closed after passengers have completed boarding or departure, respectively
Ensure all passengers receive their tickets before boarding at each station.
Maintain orderly passenger traffic and observe safety conditions within the cabin and docking area
Maintain general cleanliness and sanitation of the cabins during operations and clean the cabins thoroughly inside and out when not in use.
Maintain a proactive approach and liaison with the Top Station team to ensure safe storage and delivery of provisions to and from Top Station
Report all equipment malfunctions to the Shift Supervisor
Notify the Shift Supervisor of unusual weather conditions
Assist engineer with maintenance whenever required
Assist in the general maintenance of plant machine and the premises

In carrying out all the above, the job holder will at all times adhere to ISO9001 objectives and will comply with all departmental and company requirements, procedures and policies as stated in the Quality Manuals. A clear understanding of the Quality Manuals and Work Instructions with respect to SAFETY is essential. At all times, the job holder should operate in the interests of the company and its customers (internal or external). It must be understood that safety of all staff and visitors is of paramount importance and overrides all other considerations.
