JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: IT Technician COMPANY: MH BLAND, S.L. DEPARTMENT: IT Department REPORTS TO: IT Manager PURPOSE:
Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware, software and networks including telecoms equipment.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software:
- Troubleshoot IT hardware, software and network system issues including all telecom equipment for all MH Bland Group of Companies.
- Provide a networked work environment for all staff including remote and mobile access.
- Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access.
- Provide orientation to new users of existing technology onsite and remotely.
- Provide individual training and support on request.
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.
- Maintain a log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance.
- Research current and potential resources and services.
- Assist in the planning and execution of office moves where the location of IT equipment is affected.
In addition to the above, the job holder will be required to perform other duties which may be assigned by the Directors and Line Manager from time to time.

In carrying out all the above, the job holder will always adhere to ISO9001 objectives and will comply with all departmental and company requirements, procedures and policies as stated in the Quality Manuals. A clear understanding of the Quality Manuals and Work Instructions with respect to SAFETY is essential. At all times, the job holder should operate in the interests of the company and its customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Effective verbal, presentation and listening and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Knowledge of all PC hardware and Windows operating systems.
- Be familiar with Apple Mac and Windows server operating systems.
- Be familiar with network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of computer and internet security
- Knowledge of telecommunications technology
- Be familiar with CCTV technology.
- Must be assertive, decisive, and able to take immediate action when necessary.
