Dakhla Port General Information

Dakhla is an emerging port with growing importance along Morocco’s Atlantic coast. It supports fisheries and regional trade, with further development planned to expand its role in the years ahead.

Its location gives it potential as a link towards West Africa, particularly as infrastructure investment continues.

Already under construction, the Dakhla Atlantic Port is a strategic project aimed at strengthening Morocco’s Atlantic presence and enhancing direct connectivity with West Africa and the Sahel. According to official project details, it will include a major port complex alongside an integrated industrial and logistics zone. Scheduled to enter service in 2028, the port will feature a depth of 23 meters, making it the deepest port in Morocco.
