Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has its roots as a fishing port however it has developed into a very competitive commercial and passenger port. Located less than a kilometre from the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife on the northeast coast of the island, the port is managed by the Port Authority, which includes all commercial and leisure ports of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife; El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Tenerife islands.
